Authorities say neglect concerns at a West Main Street home prompted a multi-agency response
DARLINGTON COUNTY, S.C. — Three people were arrested Thursday following a law enforcement investigation into the treatment of a vulnerable adult at a residence on West Main Street in the Town of Lamar, according to local authorities.
Lamar Police Chief Dennis Carter said the investigation began after concerns were raised about possible neglect and mistreatment. Officers executed search warrants at the home Thursday morning with assistance from the Darlington County Combined Drug Unit and the county’s Special Incident Response Team.
As a result of the investigation, the vulnerable adult was removed from the residence and placed into protective services custody. Authorities confirmed the individual is now safe.
Arrests and Charges
Police identified the following individuals taken into custody:

- Chay Stewart — charged with neglect of a vulnerable adult and intimidation of a vulnerable adult

- Shaa Randall — charged with neglect of a vulnerable adult

- Natalie Holloman — charged with drug offenses, including possession of less than one gram of methamphetamine or cocaine and additional controlled substances
All three were booked into the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center.
Bond Set
Bond was set by a Darlington County magistrate as follows:

- Stewart: $75,000

- Randall: $25,000

- Holloman: $50,000
Police emphasized there is no ongoing threat to the public related to this case. The investigation remains active, and additional charges or information could be released as authorities continue reviewing evidence.
