The county treasurer’s office announced a short extension for paying 2025 real estate taxes without penalty due to the threat of inclement weather.
While taxes are normally due by February 1, the deadline moves to Monday, February 2 because the date falls on a Sunday, and taxpayers will be allowed to pay without penalty through Tuesday, February 3.
Mailed payments will be accepted without penalty if postmarked by the applicable deadline, with officials warning taxpayers to request hand postmarking to avoid delays caused by new postal regulations.
