CLARENDON COUNTY, SC: The Clarendon County Treasurer’s Office has temporarily disabled the e-check option on its website due to a high number of returned payments. Many of these issues stem from incorrect bank account or routing numbers entered by taxpayers.
Important: The e-check option will return on Tuesday, January 21, but today’s tax deadline will not be extended.
Payment options available today:
Online:
- Pay using a debit or credit card through the Treasurer’s website
- A processing fee of 2.35% applies
In person at the Treasurer’s Office:
- Payments accepted until 5:00 PM
- No additional fee for cash, check, or money order
- Debit and credit card payments are subject to a processing fee
By mail:
- Take your payment to the post office and ensure the envelope is postmarked today, January 15, 2026
Taxpayers are urged to act promptly to avoid penalties.
