REMINDER: Clarendon County annual property taxes are due!

By PSA Newsroom Staff

The last day to pay your annual county property taxes without penalties is by Thursday, January 15, 2026

If paid after January 15, 2026, a 3% penalty will be assessed. If paid after February 2, 2026 the penalty goes up to 10%.

If you have not received your tax bill for 2025, call or visit the Auditor’s Office IMMEDIATELY!

If you pay online:

  • E-Check (ACH/Bank account): Free.
  • Credit/Debit Card: A convenience fee of 2.35% of the total payment amount.

Since today is the 13th, it would be too risky to mail your payment now.

You can pay in person with cash, check, or money order at no charge. In-person debt or credit card payments will be assessed (by the card company) a convenience fee.

I don’t see an option when paying online for E-Check (ACH/Bank account). The only online option is a debit/credit card. I’d like to use my debit card but they want to charge me a $78 fee fo that convenience.

I live in Florence and have paid my taxes online every year with an e-check. Why is this option turned off? The debit/credit card fee is $91. Please advise.
