Turbeville Children’s Home launches renovations and plans campus expansion

By PSA Newsroom Staff

Turbeville, S.C. — Turbeville Children’s Home has begun much-needed renovations on its campus as leaders work to address aging facilities and prepare for a planned expansion of services for children in care. The project comes amid ongoing fundraising efforts and reflects both urgent repair needs and long-term vision for growth.

Leadership & project overview

Executive Director Tim Moore is leading the initiative, working with the home’s board and community supporters to tackle infrastructure issues and expand capacity. Renovation work officially began in January 2026, with crews addressing repairs that will improve safety, comfort, and usability of residential and support spaces. Officials project that the first phase of renovations will be completed by late 2026 or early 2027, with full campus expansion continuing into 2027.

Connection with Falcon Children’s Home

Turbeville Children’s Home operates as a campus under Falcon Children’s Home & Family Services, a North Carolina-based nonprofit affiliated with the International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHCC). Falcon acquired the Turbeville property in 2015 and reopened it in 2016. The campus functions as an extension of Falcon’s programs, sharing leadership, mission, and denominational support, while serving children from multiple counties and following the same standards as the main Falcon campus.

Funding & cost

The project is being funded through local fundraising and community support, including contributions from churches, individual donors, and nonprofit partners, though the home has not publicly disclosed a total cost estimate for the full renovation and expansion.

Leaders emphasize that ongoing fundraising will be critical to completing the campus improvements.

Planned improvements

The renovation and expansion plan includes updates to residential buildings, support facilities, and other infrastructure, with the ultimate goal of increasing capacity and enhancing care offerings for children and families in South Carolina. Moore and board members stress that community involvement will be essential in bringing the full vision to life.
