Kim Jones – is a proud Clarendon County native and lifelong resident of District 2, with deep roots in the community and a heart for public service. Currently serving on the Clarendon County School District Board of Trustees, Kim has worked to promote transparency, accountability, and meaningful opportunities for local families and students.
Serving on County Council has long been both a personal and professional goal for Kim. With a strong understanding of local government and community needs, Kim is seeking to represent District 2 and continue the important work and legacy of Councilman Frierson. Kim believes county government must be fiscally responsible, people-focused, and results-driven.
If elected, Kim will advocate for responsible budgeting that prioritizes cutting wasteful spending, identifying efficiencies in county operations, and ensuring taxpayer dollars are used wisely. Kim supports exploring fair and practical ways to ease the tax burden on residents while maintaining essential services. Improving and maintaining roads across District 2 will be a top priority, with a focus on smart planning, accountability, and long-term infrastructure solutions.
Kim is a firm believer in honesty, respect, and integrity, values that guide every decision and action. Kim pledges to work diligently alongside fellow council members, county staff, and residents to deliver responsible leadership, open communication, and thoughtful decision-making that benefits the entire county.
